Connecting students to their first destination
UNI Career Services is the home of all Career Fairs and major recruiting events at UNI. Employer registration is managed through Handshake and typically opens in October (for our spring events) and in May (for our fall events). Registration is announced to our Handshake contacts via email. Not on Handshake? Check out the resources below to get you started. Contact CareerServices@uni.edu with questions.
Getting Started
Setting up a Handshake account is quick, easy, and free. Handshake has many help articles to assist you through the process. If you are brand new to Handshake and do not have a cooperate or employer account yet, we recommend starting with this Handshake help article.
Post a Job
Once you have created your employer and corporate account, you can connect with UNI and other Handshake schools by creating a job posting and sending it to the schools you want to recruit from. Your request may be automatically or manually processed so it may take a few business days. For step-by-step instructions or a refresher on how to post a job, please visit this Handshake help article.
Why was my account suspended?
If you find that your account has been suspended, please reach out to Handshake via help ticket. UNI Career Services does not suspend accounts or reverse a suspension.

UNI Career Fair
Fall 2024 | September 24th

Hosted at the McLeod Center from 11am-3pm, this campus-wide recruiting fair connects UNI students to jobs, internships, and other professional experiences. In place of micro-fairs, we are having a single day fair sectioned into four zones:
- Applied Engineering & Manufacturing
- Business, Finance, & IT
- Community & Health
- Law Enforcement & Government

Recruiting Event: February 1, 2025
Engage with educators around the globe. This recruitment service (hosted by UNI Career Services) is year-round and concludes with an annual recruitment fair in February.
