Students are encouraged to work with Career Services to develop an educator based resume and job search strategy. Appointments can be scheduled through Handshake or document reviews (resume, etc) can be sent via email at anytime to careerservices@uni.edu.

UNI Teacher Fair
The UNI Teacher Fair gives educators and schools the opportunity to network, interview, and even offer/accept positions. The fair has school administrators representing many districts across Iowa, the Midwest and the nation.
UNI Overseas Teaching Services
Offering services since 1976, the UNI Overseas Teaching Services, a program area of Career Services, connects American international K-12 schools with certified educators year round. Educators and schools are able to utilize a robust database and an in-person fair to maximize their job search efforts!
Job Search
To be most successful while job searching, educators must prepare by researching the school and community! A great way to do that is to utilize School Stats by NCES, school websites and social media, and personal networks.
There are a number of job search sites for educators, including: TeachIowa for those searching in Iowa, UNI Overseas Teaching Services for those searching overseas and many others!
