Student Employee Leadership Academy

Emerging UNI student employee leaders will embark on a specialized four session program that connects campus jobs to future careers. Each student will be invested in to reflect, challenge, and grow professionally. Topics are based upon NACE Career Readiness Standards. Each student will participate in four sessions and a personalized career coaching meeting.

There will be $0 cost for the student participant. Employing departments are expected to pay the regular hourly rate during the training sessions (approximately 5 hours).

Students can participate at any level (freshmen - graduate students) as long as they have been identified as future workplace leaders.

Our goal is to accommodate as many students as possible. We will allow 20 students per section/cohort.

Students can either attend the other cohort that week or we will identify a make-up project for the student.

Yes. However, we want to ensure that we have a nice mix of students from across campus participating so we may only accept a few from each department. If you want SELA for your entire work team, call/email sarah.goblirsch@uni.edu to discuss.
